After a shaky start on Monday, a lot of progress was made in the latter half of the week. Outer bands of Hurricane Sandy hampered progress earlier this week and delayed delivery of materials. Work will continue through the weekend to catch up.
Curtainwall framing and storefront framing installation is finally underway, giving the front of the building some evidence of progress an idea of how the finished elevation will be composed.
Field measurements for the ACM panels took place today, so that material can be fabricated. Efforts shift to the interior next week while we wait for the exterior skin to arrive (not for 5-6 weeks, unfortunately).
This project is being delivered via Architect-led Design-Build to provide single-source, turnkey design and construction services.
