The new fraternity house for Sigma Nu at North Carolina State University is starting to come “out of the ground” – well, sort of. Retaining wall formwork is currently being erected with the hope of pouring later this week. However, rain continues to fall in Raleigh today, hampering efforts to stay on schedule.
Some foundation work remains once unsuitable soils are removed. That work is purposely delayed in order to maintain vehicular access to the building pad and retaining wall areas.
