This past week at Michael Jordan Nissan in Durham brought a lot of work not seen by the general public. All work currently underway is back in the “belly” of the building, behind dust partitions and temporary walls.
Underslab plumbing and electrical rough-in’s were covered with concrete. That allowed metal stud framing and sheetrock work to proceed.
On the 2nd floor, mechanical and electrical rough-in work was completed above ceiling. Following that, the bolt-slot ceiling grid was installed along with the 2×4 LED light fixtures.
This project is being delivered through an Architect-led Design-Build process with Gontram Architecture and Ten Penny Construction, Inc.
