Work continues on the Michael Jordan Nissan dealership renovation project in Durham, NC.
Sheetrock was hung last week and finished this week. That allowed the ceiling grid to be installed, sprinkler heads to be adjusted, and light fixtures to be installed.
Masonry was demolished to create new openings between the Customer Hospitality area and the Service bays. Nissan customers will be able sit and enjoy a cup of coffee while watching mechanics work on various vehicles in the shop.
The “bad luck” of the week was that one of our trucks failed to remain operational. Of course, if you’re going to break down, best to do it at a client’s vehicle repair garage. A failing fuel pump required dropping the gas tank.
This project is being delivered through an Architect-led Design-Build process with Gontram Architecture and Ten Penny Construction, Inc.
