Interior work continues to the be the main objective at the Sigma Nu Fraternity House at North Carolina State University.  Sheetrock installation continues on the 3rd floor and within the 40′ high lobby area. Mudding, taping and finishing is wrapping up on the 1st and 2nd floors.  Prime paint is underway on those floors.

Ceramic tile installation continues throughout the house.  Wood trim may begin next week.

Hardi-trim installation began this week on the exterior.

We are currently working through a late request from Sigma Nu to install a weathervane on top of the roof’s “lantern.”  The design is by Wilmington sculptor (and Sigma Nu brother) Dumay Gorham.  It features silhouettes of the three founders laying hands on Bible as Sigma Nu was founded at Virginia Military Institute.  The points of the compass are “N-C-S-U” instead of “N-E-S-W”.
